Xiaomi's MIUI 13 Open Beta program excludes multiple Xiaomi phones

Xiaomi said in their MAEUI forum that a number of smartphones, including a number of flagship smartphones powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 65 processors, are going to be dropped from the MAEUI 13 open beta program starting July 16. Upcoming MAEUI13 Open Beta Unattended Smartphones are:

Xiaomi CC9 Pro

Xiaomi Mi 10

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro

Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition

Redmi K30

Redmi K30 5G

Redmi K30i 5G

Redmi K30 Pro 5G

Incidentally, devices excluded from the MAEUI 13 Open Beta program will no longer receive any Android OS upgrades (Android 13 based MAEUI 14). However, they will still receive the next MAEUI upgrade, namely Android 12 based MAEUI 14 and security updates from the company for one more year.

Note that these devices were initially launched in early 2020 with MAEUI 11 based on Android 10 and all of them have recently been updated to Android 12 based MAEUI 13.

Note that based on Shaomi's track record, the company usually offers a 2-year Android operating system upgrade and a 3-year security update on their flagship devices. However, the flagships that have hit the market since the launch of the Xiaomi 11T series have promised 3-year Android OS upgrades and 4-year security updates, including the Xiaomi 12 Series and Redmi K50 series.
